I've only had the car for a couple of weeks but I have traveling to rotorua, whakatane, the east coast and of course back to whakatane from picking it up in auckland, fuel economy is excellent, which is the main reason I purchased the vehicle and all under 30k so happy with the purchase.

Drives and handles well. Pleanty of power for a 2 litre. Good leg room in the back. Boot space is a little small.

So far the X-Trail has met all our requirements. Providing the space we needed along with the ability to handle the conditions the roads seem to get in winter around New Zealand.

Spend time understanding how hybrid technology works. It’s completely different feeling from a petrol only engine. Vehicle behaves different. Take your time and enjoy it. It’s amazing how a heavier vehicle with an bigger engine can have the same fuel economy as one of the smaller petrol engine. Compared 2.0 litres hybrid direct fuel injection vs 1.4lts petrol engine. Smaller and lighter vehicle.
